About Brandon

Brandon S. Stephens is a dedicated professional with a deep-rooted commitment to the oil and gas industry. His journey began in the summer of 1998 while pursuing his education at the University of Oklahoma (OU), where he took his first steps into the energy sector.

Early Beginnings and Education

Brandon's introduction to the industry started as a Field Landman during his college years, primarily working on title research in a small courthouse in Wyoming. These early experiences, undertaken during summer breaks at OU, provided a solid foundation for his future career. Brandon graduated from OU with an Energy Management Degree in 2001.

Industry Expertise

Brandon's professional path led him to roles as a Field Landman and later an in-house landman at Bass Enterprises Production Company (now BOPCO). These experiences deepened his understanding of the industry's intricacies. His pursuit of knowledge then took him to Kerr-McGee Rocky Mountain Corporation in Denver, CO, where he engaged in a developmental program in the DJ Basin.

Matador Resources and Entrepreneurship

Brandon's career continued to evolve when he joined Matador Resources (MTDR on NASDAQ), a startup based in Dallas, TX. Initially hired as an in-house landman, Brandon's dedication and skills quickly led to positions as Land Manager and later Business Development Manager. In these roles, he played a significant part in the company's growth and success.

Founding Stephens Land Services

In March of 2007, Brandon followed his entrepreneurial aspirations and founded Stephens Land Services, drawing upon his diverse experiences in the industry. Under his guidance, the company has prospered and served esteemed clients in the oil and gas sector.

Jason Doll's journey with Stephens Land Services began in 2007 when he joined as a Field Landman. Today, he holds the prestigious position of Partner and Senior Project Manager.
